This location of the Institute is home to a gallery featuring the work of Métis artists, a museum showcasing our culture and heritage, and several special collections primary to Métis history including the Dennis and Jean Fisher Collection and the Olive Dickason Collection.  Our gift shop and sales centre showcases over 160 publications and learning resources produced by the Institute and also carries items to express Métis pride including sashes and flags.  Visits booked in advance will receive a longer guided tour than drop in visitors will receive.

The mission of the Gabriel Dumont Institute is to promote the renewal and development of Métis culture through research; materials development, collection, and distribution; and the design, development, and delivery of Métis-specific educational programs and services.
